Passports

Passport valid for at least one month beyond return date is required by all nationals.

Visas

A visa is required by all except the following:

• nationals of Canada, Japan, UK, USA and EU;
• nationals of all CIS countries (except nationals of Turkmenistan who do need a visa);
• nationals of Andorra, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Mongolia, Norway, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Switzerland and Vatican City.

Notes: Ukrainian visas are not valid in the Russian Federation, and Russian Federation visas are not valid in Ukraine. As a general rule, visitors requiring visas should apply before travelling.

Types of Visa & Cost

Tourist: $34 (single-entry); $60 (double-entry);

Business/Private: $34 (single-entry); $69 (double-entry); $189 (multiple-entry).

Student: $17 (single-entry);

Transit: $17 (double-entry); $86 (multiple-entry, business only).

A handling charge of $34 is also required from the Embassy for each application.

Validity of Visa

Single-entry: Valid for stays of up to 90 days within six months after first trip to Ukraine;

Double-entry/Multiple-entry: Six to 12 months;

Transit: Five days for each entry.

Application Requirements

(a) Valid passport/travel document with at least one blank page.
(b) One completed application form.
(c) Two recent passport-size photos.
(d) Fee (postal order or company cheque only; if applying by post, enclose two separate postal orders or company cheques covering the handling charge and visa fee).
(e) A contact telephone number.
(f) Recorded, registered, self-addressed envelope for postal applications.
